Who is Jessica Dean?
Born under the sign of Leo on the 22nd of August 1985, in Little Rock, Arkansas USA, of Christian beliefs, Jessica Dean is a Caucasian journalist, anchor and reporter. She’s probably most familiar to the worldwide audience thanks to her significant presence on the TV screen and across other media outlets, throughout her numerous reports and interviews thus far. She has had a great number of successes over the course of her career in journalism since 2006.
Early life and education: The ballerina journalist
Jessica was raised apparently an only child in her place of birth, by her father and mother of still unknown names and professions. Regarding her childhood interests, she hasn’t divulged much on the topic, but there’s public knowledge that she took ballet lessons very early on, beginning at the age of three.
Meanwhile, she also spent a lot of time watching TV, and over time developed a strong interest in journalism. As for her education, she attended an unspecified high school in her state of birth, from where she matriculated in 2003. She then relocated to attend the University of Southern California’s Annenberg School for Communication, from where she graduated cum laude with a bachelor of arts degree in broadcast journalism in 2007.
Career: An early starter
Jessica began working even before obtaining her degree, by interning for Dateline NBC at the start of her last college year in 2006. Soon afterwards, she also started working for KNWA/KFTA in Fort Smith, Arkansas, where she held the position of reporter, but was also responsible for editing and taking photographs, according to the assigned story.
In some of her interviews, she refers to this part of her career as the greatest learning experience. Dean remained there for five years, then in 2011 started working for NBC affiliated KARK-TV in her home town, thereby appearing in front of the camera for the first time. Jessica kept this job for an uncertain amount of time, later on joining KNWA/KFTA, CW Philly, before in 2013 CBS3, where she stayed for five years. While there, she was one of the most important reporters, as she had the honor of covering highly significant stories, and interviewing incredibly famous personalities, such as the Pope.
She also made regular appearances in “Eye Witness News”, three times per workday. Being one of the main faces of CBS3 for a while, Dean eventually solidified her name in the industry, and was in 2018 asked to join CNN.
Joining the giant
Upon accepting CNN’s offer, Jessica became their Washington D.C.-based correspondent, and has since been reporting on some of the most significant happenings worldwide. Dean’s reports were mostly of political nature in 2019, though a few socially important topics can also be found in her story list. Even though she works for CNN now, she still contributes to CW Philly and “The Digital Brief” on CBS Philly’s website.
Her career highlights
As mentioned, Jessica was one of the most appreciated reporters of CBS3, and thus got to cover an array of highly important events. Besides the Pope’s visit to the US in June 2015, Dean also covered the 2016 presidential race quite extensively, being present as a live anchor at the 2016 Republican National Convention in Cleveland, as well as the 2016 Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia. Dean’s voice and appearance also followed through the election night, at Hillary Clinton’s headquarters located in New York City, and US President Donald Trump’s inauguration in Washington D.C. In 2017 she was the assigned panelist of the New Jersey Gubernatorial Debate, since when she’s been assigned to report on events happening in the White House. Most recently, she’s been with events concerned with the upocoming presidential election during 2024.
Love life: Does she have a husband?
When it comes to Jessica’s romantic involvements, she doesn’t seem to be willing to disclose too much information on the subject, but a few details are still familiar to the fans. It’s unknown who Dean might have dated during her high school and college years, but she got into a relationship with businessman Blake Spencer Rutherford at some point around 2006. They dated for at about three years before marrying in October 2009, in a private ceremony away from the media’s attention. There hasn’t been any controversy surrounding their union, and the two are believed to be a happy couple. In their free time, they enjoy traveling, and watching movies.
They haven’t thus far announced any plans for expanding their family. Jessica and Blake live together at an undisclosed location in Washington D.C.
Who is her husband?
Blake Spencer Rutherford has a mostly unknown background, but a popular presence in modern politics. He holds an unspecified law school degree, with achievements in business, real estate and political law. He’s a member of the Cozen O’Connor’s Government and Regulatory Practice – an organization which focuses on law issues, politics, policies and communications. He was a contributor to the Obama administration, and is known to have helped boost Hillary Clinton’s campaign in the area of Jessica’s home town.
Blake Spencer is believed to possess an enviable net worth of well over $1 million.
A lover of the people
Jessica is known not only for her professional achievements, but also her affinity for charity work. Over the course of her career, she’s supported numerous non-profit organizations, such as The Susan G. Koman Race for the Cure, Ronald MacDonald House Charities, and Alex’s Lemonade Stand. As a former ballerina, she’s also big on helping the discipline flourish in the US, and is thus an ambassador for Pennsylvania Ballet Schools and Outreach Initiatives.
Her latest article
Jessica’s contribution to public awareness on popular matters has to do with politics, specifically the debates that Joe Biden participated in. Among other things, she explained that Joe Biden faced Senator Elizabeth Warren on the debate stage for the first time, stating that the politician argued on a variety of topics. The main video on the article page is Biden’s joke about making Michelle Obama his VP (vice president). As is evident, Jessica’s main focus is still politics, but it remains to be seen whether she will continue down this path.

What is Jessica Dean’s net worth?
Have you lately given a thought to just how rich Jessica could be, as of mid-2024? Some of the most authoritative sources have offered the estimate of more than $1 million, earned thanks to her enviable expertise in journalism, which she’s been gaining and improving steadily over the course of her career since 2006. Since she is far from considering a break from the business, the said amount will likely grow.
Body measurements
So, what do you believe are the physical specifications of the popular journalist? Jessica is 5ft 4ins (163cm) tall, weighs approximately 121lbs (55kgs), and her vital statistics are 34-28-35, with her body shape generally described as fit.
She has light brown hair with blond streaks, bright green eyes, and a generally pale complexion with a tan.
Social media presence
How active do you think Jessica could be on social media? Being a young and well-respected journalist, she is naturally expected to nourish a strong relationship with the audience, so as to broaden her public reach, and (hopefully) exponentially increase her earnings. Dean looks to be nicely informed about the way this works, and thus maintains ubiquity on two of the three most popular social media networks – Twitter, and her Facebook has almost 8,000 fans,
