Gennady ‘Gary’ Vaynerchuk was born in Babruysk, Byelorussian SSR, Soviet Union on 14 November 1975 – his zodiac sign is Scorpio, and he holds both Belarussian and American nationality. He’s probably known best for being a co-founder of Resy, a restaurant reservation software company, as well as for being a co-owner of Empathy Wines.
Gary was raised in Babruysk by his Ashkenazi-Jewish parents; not a lot is known about his family, as he respects their privacy, but it’s known that his parents ran a family wine business, and that they moved to the USA in 1978, when Gary was two years old. He was then raised in New York City, and was 14 when he joined his family’s wine business; they eventually moved to Edison, New Jersey where Gary attended North Hunterdon High School. He matriculated in 1994, and then enrolled at Mount Ida College, from which he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in management science in 1998.
