Who is Mikey Day?
American actor, comedian and game-show host Michael William Day was born in Orange, California USA on 20 March 1980, making Pisces his zodiac sign. He has 35 acting credits and is perhaps known best for playing various characters in 128 episodes (since 2013) of the musical comedy show “Saturday Night Live” (“SNL”), which was created by Lorne Michaels back in 1975. Each episode of the show is hosted by a celebrity guest, and it’s won 210 of its 766 award nominations, including 87 Primetime Emmy wins.
Mikey’s currently working on several projects, while he’s mostly focused on shooting for new episodes of “Saturday Night Live”.
Education and early life
Mikey was raised in Orange by his parents whom he prefers to keep away from media, because he respects their privacy; it’s known that his mother was a high school teacher, and his father a police officer. He hasn’t mentioned whether or not he has siblings, and is thus believed to be an only child.
Mikey studied at Panorama Elementary School prior to progressing to El Modena High School; it was during his four years there that he fell in love with comedy and acting, appearing in most of the plays performed at the school.
He matriculated in 1998, and then enrolled at University of California, Los Angeles from which he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in 2002.

Mikey’s debut TV series role was playing various characters in the 1999 comedy “The Mike & Ben Show”, and the year 2004 saw him play O’Shea in the episode “Why We Fight” of the action fantasy “Angel”, which starred Charisma Carpenter and David Boreanaz, and was created by Joss Whedon and David Greenwalt. It follows the vampire Angel as he’s living in Los Angeles and is helping people with supernatural-related problems, the series aired from 1999 through 2004 and won 20 of its 79 award nominations.
The year 2005 saw Mikey play School Guy in the episode “The Prefect of Wanganui” of the crime comedy “Reno 911!”, and in 2006, he played various characters in all 11 episodes of the comedy “The Underground”. In 2008 and 2009, he starred as Craig Baker in all 17 episodes of the comedy “Kath & Kim”, which also starred Selma Blair and Molly Shannon, and was created by Michelle Nader. It follows the lives of a mother and her daughter, and the series was nominated for a People’s Choice Award for Favorite New TV Comedy.
The first half of the 2010s saw Mikey appear in an episode or two of the comedy “Friends with Benefits”, another comedy “Idiotsitter” and the musical comedy “Maya & Marty”. From 2014 through 2021, he voiced various characters in 15 episodes of the short animated adventure “Robot Chicken”, which starred Seth Green and Matthew Senreich, who also created it; the series is a compilation of short comedy films, has been airing since 2001, and has won 11 of its 46 award nominations.
Mikey’s most recent TV series appearance has been in the 2023 episode “A Trump Abortion Protest Easter Indictment Special” of the podcast “No News is News”.
Roles in movies
Mikey’s debut film role was playing the lead character Charlie in the 2006 fantasy comedy “Totally Awesome”, which also starred Chris Kattan and Dominique Swain, and was written and directed by Neal Brennan; it’s a poof of ‘80s teen movies.
Mikey could then have been seen appearing in the 2007 short comedy “David Blaine Street Magic Part 2”, its sequel “David Blaine Street Magic Part 3” in the same year, and the 2008 romantic adventure comedy “Bar Starz”. He voiced the lead character John Connor in the 2012 short action comedy “Terminator: Termination”, which also starred Kevin Kirkpatrick and Timothy Brennen, and was directed by James Logan; it follows the war between the humans and the machines.
Mikey’s three most recent film roles have been in the 2019 romantic fantasy comedy “Little”, the 2020 horror mystery comedy “Hubie Halloween” and the 2021 family crime comedy “Home Sweet Home Alone”.

Since 2011, he’s been in a relationship with American actress Paula Christensen; she has 34 acting credits, perhaps still known best for starring as Vidonia in the 2007 short movie “Tres”. Paula gave birth to her and Mikey’s son in August 2012.
There are no other women whom Mikey’s been with, that we know about; he’s in a long-term relationship with Paula Christensen as of June 2023, and they have a 10 years old son together.
