Jason London is an American-born actor, who is possibly best known for his appearances in the films “Dazed and Confused,” “The Rage: Carrie 2,” and “Out Cold.”
Age, Early Life, and Education Background
Jason Paul London hails from San Diego, California, and was born under the Scorpio zodiac sign on 7 November 1972, which makes him 51 years old as of 2023. He’s the son of Frank London, who worked in a sheet metal firm, and Deborah ‘Debbie’ Osborn, who was a waitress. He is of Cherokee Indian roots, and was brought up in DeSoto, Texas, and Wanette, Oklahoma. Jason saw little of his dad during his childhood, because his parents divorced when he was still very young.
Jason is the identical twin brother of the actor Jeremy Michael London, who is 27 minutes younger than him. Jeremy is known for his performances in the films “Mallrats,” “The Babysitter,” and “Journey to the Center of the Earth” – the two brothers have shared the screen in several projects, including the TV series “7th Heaven” and the film “The Man in the Moon.” Jason had a younger sister named Dedra London who tragically died in a car accident when she was 16, on 9 September 1992.
Jason and his siblings developed an interest in acting at an early age, and their parents enrolled them at a drama and modeling school in Dallas, Texas. He hasn’t disclosed where he attended high school and college.
Career – Film and TV Appearances
London appeared in four films in 1991, including the drama “The Man in the Moon”. He made appearances in a few more films before he was cast as Randall ‘Pink’ Floyd in the 1993 coming-of-age comedy movie “Dazed and Confused,” which is centered around the mayhem of several rowdy teenagers in Texas as they celebrate their last day in high school. He shared the screen with the likes of Ben Affleck, Matthew McConaughey and Parker Posey in the film. London was later cast to play rebellious and anxious young addicts in various feature films, including the 1999 medical drama “Broken Vessels”, and the 2000 drama “$pent,” in which he starred alongside his ex-wife, Charlie Spradling.
In 2005, London played Bobby in 10 episodes of the ABC Family TV series “Wildfire,” which was followed by appearances in single episodes of the police procedural drama “Criminal Minds” in 2006 and the CBS supernatural TV series “Ghost Whisperer” in 2008. Thereafter, London landed supporting roles in various films including the 2009 Christian romance film “A Golden Christmas” and the drama “The Lamp.” In 2015, he starred as Father Lawrence in the Christian dramedy movie “My First Miracle”, then for his performance in the 2018 film “The Second Coming of Christ,” Jason was nominated for an International Christian Film Festival Award for Best Actor: Feature Film. He also received an Actors Award, Los Angeles nomination for Best Actor for his performance in the 2019 film “Marriage Killer.”

Jason served as the co-producer of the short film “Last Stand” in 2003. He was the executive producer and Creative Co-Producer of “The Putt Putt Syndrome” (2010) and “Blackwater Blues Indiegogo Presentation” (2022) respectively. London has two writing credits to his name as of 2023 – he wrote the TV series “Scrabble Guys”, and the short film “Little Drummer Girl” in 2014 and 2017 respectively.

Out of the seven awards he’s been nominated for, Jason has won two. In 2015, he scooped a Hoboken International Film Festival Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in “Awaken.” Moreover, he won a Hill Country Film Festival Award for Best Actor for his performance in “As Far as the Eyes Can See.” Jason’s performance in “Dazed and Confused” brought him a Young Artist Award nomination in 1994, and he’s a two-time nominee for the New York City International Film Festival Award for his performance in “Marriage Killer.”
Personal Life
Jason dated the retired actress, Charlie Lynn Spradling, for 24 months before they exchanged vows in February 1997. Spradling, who is four years older than London, is famous for her starring roles in the horror films “Meridian: Kiss of the Beast,” “Mirror, Mirror,” and “To Sleep with a Vampire.” The couple separated in 2002 and finalized their divorce in March 2011. The two have a daughter named Cooper London, who was born on 7 November 1996.
Jason was introduced to the Canadian actress, Sofia Karsten, by his twin brother in 2008. Sofia is perhaps best known for her appearances in the biographical drama film “Lovelace” and “Bad Blood… The Hunger.” London proposed to Karsten in late 2010 and they walked the aisle on 16 July 2011 in a private wedding ceremony at the actress’ parents’ home in Vermont, but in 2014, they separated for reasons they’ve kept private.
The American actress, Shannen Doherty, is the godmother to Jason’s daughter.
Rumors and Controversy
In 2021, Jason made headlines when he was arrested for public intoxication in Mississippi. He had been found by law enforcement officers behind the wheels of his sedan (a 2010 Nissan Maxima) that had swerved off the road and mowed down a road sign before stopping in a ditch. According to the police report, the “Dazed and Confused” star was so intoxicated that he could not keep his balance or speak fluently. He was booked in Jackson County jail. Before the incident, the actor got into trouble with the law when he reportedly knocked out a bouncer after he refused to make an apology for sneezing in his face in 2013. According to reports, Jason went on to utter homophobic slurs to the officers while he was being driven to the police station.
In 2010, Jason’s twin brother filed restraining orders against him and his mother for openly expressing doubt after he was reportedly abducted at gunpoint and forced to take drugs in Palm Springs, California. His lawyer stated, ‘Jeremy filed these orders against his family for them to stop giving unauthorized interviews to the press… what they’ve said is false, misleading and harmful to his personal reputation and career.’
