Heather Childers is an American television personality, a news anchor who is best known to the world as the anchor of the popular show “Fox & Friends First” on the Fox News Channel. She joined Fox News back in 2010, and before this, she worked for several other television networks, including WCNC-TV, and WLOS-TV, among others.

Heather Childers was born on the 7th of January 1969, in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA; she spent her childhood in Charlotte and went to Sharon Elementary School in the Foxfort neighborhood. She matriculated from Myers Park High School, and then enrolled at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, from which she graduated with a degree in English. While in high school, Heather was involved in a car accident when she and her 1964 Chevrolet Corvair hit a tree.
She underwent several reconstructive facial surgeries in the years to come, and luckily there are no scars on her face or any other long-term consequences.

Heather’s career started in the early ‘90s, when she was hired as producer/reporter at WCNC-TV in her hometown. This lasted for several years before she was recruited by WFXL, which is a Fox affiliate, with headquarters in Albany, Georgia.
This job required a move, and she settled in Georgia, staying there until 1999 when she switched Georgia for North Carolina and ABC’s affiliate WLOS-TV in Asheville. This new engagement lasted until 2002, as Heather was hired by the News 14 Carolina as their news anchor.

Heather earned a name for herself in Carolina, as she won several awards and got her hands on several important stories, which led to a job offer from Fox News Channel in 2010.
Heather accepted the offer, and in the fall of 2010, officially became the newest employee of the Channel. One of her first on-screen tasks was as the anchor of the “America’s News Headquarters” in August 2011, then in 2012 she was appointed as one of the co-hosts of the “Fox and Friends” show, and until 2017 co-hosted more than 940 episodes.
In 2017, she moved to “Fox and Friends First” as the host, one of two rotating hosts, the other being Heather Nauert. In addition, Heather has contributed to several other shows on the Fox News Channel, such as “Outnumbered” (2014), “Fox Report with Jon Scott” (2014-2017), and “America’s Election HQ” (2016), among others.
