Who is Harry Treadaway? Wiki Bio
Harry Treadaway was born in Exeter, Devon, England, on 10 September 1984 – his zodiac sign is Virgo and he holds British nationality. He is an actor, probably best known for portraying Victor Frankenstein in the “Penny Dreadful” horror drama series.
Early life and education
Harry spent only his first couple of years in Ex witheter, as his family soon moved to Sandford in Devon where Harry was raised, his twin brother Luke and their older brother Sam, by their father who is an architect and their mother who is a primary school teacher. Harry and Luke attended Queen Elizabeth’s Community College where they both played football for the Rugby Union team which won the Devon Cup two times.
Harry grew up being a huge fan of Eddie Vedder, a musician best known for his song “Society” featured in the “Into the Wild” film. Harry was then motivated by his secondary school drama teacher to start a band together with his twin brother, which they called Lizardsun. The twins also became interested in acting at around the same time, and joined the National Youth Theatre.
Perhaps it wasn’t coincidence that Harry made his debut film appearance portraying Tom Howe in “Brothers of the Head” in 2005, while his brother also starred in the movie playing Tom’s twin brother, in the story following them as they form a punk rock band – Harry was nominated for a British Independent Film Award for most promising newcomer.
In 2007, Harry starred as Stephen Morris in “Control”, and the following year appeared in three movies – “City of Ember”, “The Disappeared”, and “Love You More” while he made a single appearance in 2009 in “Fish Tank”. In 2010, he portrayed Nikko in “Pelican Blood”, and in 2011 appeared in “Albatross and “The Last Furlong”.
He played Andy Macguire in “Cockneys vs Zombies” in 2012 and Frank in “The Lone Ranger” in 2013, while he could have been seen portraying Pau in “Honeymoon” in 2014. His latest roles in movies have been in “Gringo” in 2018 and “Halo of Stars” in 2019.
Harry is also a songwriter – he wrote the song “Sink or Swim”, which became part of the soundtrack of the “Brothers of the Head” film.
TV series appearances
Harry made his debut TV series appearance in “Afterlife”, portraying Liam in a single episode entitled “Roadside Bouquets” in 2006, while he also portrayed George Erskine in a single episode of “Agatha Christie’s Marple” in the same year. In 2007, he could have been seen in two TV series – “Cape Wrath” and “Recovery” – and in 2008 featured in “The Shooting of Thomas Hurndall”. The year 2011 saw him appear in “The Night Watch” while he won his first main role in a TV series in 2012, in “Flight of the Storks” and then had another main role in “Truckers”.
Harry gained recognition after he began portraying Victor Frankenstein in the “Penny Dreadful” British-American horror drama TV series in 2014, through 2016. The story follows explorer Sir Malcolm Murray, scientist Victor Frankenstein, American gunslinger Ethan Chandler, and medium Vanessa Ives as they combine to combat supernatural threats in Victorian London.
In 2017, Harry started playing the main role of Brady Hartsfield in “Mr. Mercedes” and for his performance was nominated for a Satellite Award for Best Actor in a TV series drama. His latest roles have been in “The Crown” in 2019, and in “Star Trek: Picard” which is set to be released in 2020.
Love life. Dating girlfriend or gay?
There are rumors circulating the internet that the popular actor might be gay or bisexual, but it’s known that he has been dating his girlfriend Holliday Grainger for more than four years now. The two met in 2014 on the set of a TV series they were both cast to appear in, and started dating in the first half of 2015. The two are living together in England, but aren’t married and don’t have any children.
Holliday Clark Grainger was born in Didsbury, Manchester, England on 27 March 1988, so her birth sign is Aries and she holds British nationality, but she’s of part-Italian descent.
She began acting at the age of five when she was noticed by a scout who cast her to appear in a BBC TV series “All Quiet on the Preston Front”. She attended Paris Wood High School before enrolling at the University of Leeds studying English literature before switching to the Open University and graduating with a bachelor’s degree in 2010. Holliday has appeared in numerous movies and TV series, while some of her most notable roles have been in the BAFTA award-winning children’s series “Roger and the Rottentrolls” portraying Kate Beckett, and in “The Borgias” Showtime series playing Lucrezia Borgia.
Holliday is a philanthropist, and has been featured in the “Home” film from the United Nations’ refugee agency UNHCR – shot to help raise awareness of the global refugee crisis, the movie turned out to be successful, winning many awards such as a BAFTA and a Gold Lion award among others.

Harry enjoys reading books and plays in his spare time, while his personal favorite play is “Ghosts”. He is a fan of the film industry, and his favorite actor and actress are Ryan Gosling and Emma Watson, while some of his favorite movies are “Deadpool”, “The Night Watch”, and the “Harry Potter” franchise.
Harry enjoys spending his free time in the countryside rather than being in London, and has stated in an interview how he is planning on moving to the countryside and would like his father to design his house, as he is a successful architect.
He is still a fan of music and occasionally plays with his brother in a local pub – his favorite genres are rock and pop, while his favorite bands and performers are Freddie Mercury and The Doors. He is sporting and has several training sessions at the gym each week, thus his muscular body.
