Frank Stephenson Dillane was born in London, England, on 21 April 1991, so his zodiac sign is Taurus and he holds British nationality. He is an actor, best known for portraying Nick Clark in the “Fear the Walking Dead” horror science fiction TV series, and for playing Tom Riddle in the “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” fantasy film.

Early life and education

Frank spent the first couple of years of his childhood in London before his family moved to East Sussex, making it possible for Frank to grow up in a creative environment. He was raised by his mother Naomi Wirthner who is of African and Jamaican descent and is the manager of The Barebones Project theatre company – it was Naomi who encouraged Frank to pursue a career in acting and who helped him work on his acting skills.

His father Stephen Dillane, is an actor who is best known for appearing in TV series such as “Game of Thrones” and “The Tunnel” and who holds a BAFTA TV Award for best actor on television presented to him in 2009. Frank has a younger brother named Seamus.

Frank actually made his debut film appearance at the age of six, when he was cast to appear as Christopher Henderson in the “Welcome to Sarajevo” British war film in 1997. He gained recognition after he was cast to play 16 year-old Tom Riddle in “Harry Potter & The Half-Blood Prince” in 2009, the role which made him somewhat famous. In 2012, he portrayed James Papadopoulos in “Papadopoulos & Sons”, and then in 2015 was Owen Coffin in the “In The Heart of the Sea” adventure drama film.

The year 2019 saw him star in the “How to Build a Girl” American-British comedy film, while he has been cast to appear in two movies with release dates  yet to be announced – “Viena and the Fantomes” and “Astral”.
