His mother’s name is still not disclosed, while the name of his father is Jasmin Geljo, a famous Bosnian actor and director. Filip Geljo’s started pursuing his acting career in 2014, when he made his debut TV appearance as Lee in the made-for-television action film “The Last Chance”, directed by his father Jasmin Geljo, and written by Goran Stjepanovic.

Jasmin Geljo was born on 18 September 1959 under the sign of Virgo in Sarajevo, PR Bosnia-Herzegovina, then FPR Yugoslavia, and is one of the most popular Bosnian actors, and a director and producer. Upon matriculation, he enrolled in the University of Sarajevo’s Academy of Dramatic Arts to study Drama, where one of his professors was famous film director Emir Kusturica. He also studied acting at Academy of Performing Arts, located in Sarajevo.

Acting Career in Yugoslavia

At the age of 11, Jasmin made his film debut in the film “Boy With A Violin”, and his first major role came in 1985, when he appeared in the drama “When Father Was Away On Business”, directed by Emir Kusturica. During the same year, Jasmin attracted fame with his breakthrough role of Mima Šiš in the popular Yugoslav made-for-television stage show “Audicija” (“The Audition”), which he later reprised in “Nova Audicija” (“New Audition”) in 1991.
