Early life and education
Even though the public has been curious to find out more about Elvira’s early life, she’s shared very little about it, prefering not to talk about her parents as she doesn’t want them exposed to the media. As she hasn’t mentioned having any siblings, Elvira is believed to be an only child.
Elvira has been interested in movies since a very early age, and while other kids wanted to become popular actors and actresses, Elvira rather wanted to actually make movies. Elvira was doing several jobs for a couple of years, just to be able to financially support herself, while she was developing her career as a documentary filmmaker.
She made her breakthrough in 2011, when she released her “Under Copenhagen” documentary, originally created for the Pirat TV Danish broadcast DR’s web platform. She went on to produce the “Songs for Alexis” documentary film following two teenagers who fall in love, which was released at HOT DOCS in Toronto, and was praised by the audience as it was being screened at numerous film festivals around the country.
She created the “Twiz & Tuck” TV show which first aired in March 2017 on VICELAND – her next documentary entitled “Bobbi Jene” was released later in 2017, first aired at the Tribeca Film Festival, and won Best Documentary Feature, Best Cinematography in a Documentary Feature and Best Editing in a Documentary Feature.
Elvira isn’t an actress, but nevertheless appeared in the “Park Country Massacre” film in 2012. She subsequently ran the “Staircase Sessions” project together with her husband, and during these sessions, the two shot ad hoc music and make music together with their mutual friend Bruce.
In November 2020, Lind’s “The Letter Room” premiered at Holly Shorts Film Festival, and was subsequently nominated for Best Short Film at Tribeca Film Festival, Telluride Film Festival, and Palm Springs International ShortFest. Elvira herself was nominated for Best Live Action Short Film at the 93rd Oscars.[7]
Marriage with Oscar Isaac and personal matters
Oscar and Elvira kept their relationship a secret for a long time, as Oscar is a very popular actor and a musician who didn’t want his wife involved with the media. The rumors about Oscar’s girlfriend started spreading around the internet in 2016, after paparazzi caught him kissing a woman they knew nothing about during the Golden Globes.
