Dylan Playfair was born on the 19th June 1992, in Fort St. James, British Columbia, Canada; he is the son of Jim Playfair, a former National Hockey League player and now coach, and his wife Roxanne, who is an entrepreneur. Dylan has two siblings, Jackson and Austyn, who have become ice hockey players in the Western Hockey League.
