Dylan Playfair Bio: Age, Childhood, and Education
Dylan Playfair was born on the 19th June 1992, in Fort St. James, British Columbia, Canada; he is the son of Jim Playfair, a former National Hockey League player and now coach, and his wife Roxanne, who is an entrepreneur. Dylan has two siblings, Jackson and Austyn, who have become ice hockey players in the Western Hockey League. Dylan himself played hockey in junior leagues, but as he got older, he opted out for an acting career.
He eventually enrolled at Vancouver Acting School, and then moved to Los Angeles, where he attended acting classes under various coaches.
Dylan’s career started in the early 2010s when he was selected for the part of Trevor Thompson in the horror film “Grave Encounters 2” (2012), and continued with roles in the television films “Profile for Murder” (2013), and in the same year “Mr. Hockey: The Gordie Howe Story”, for which he won the Leo Award in the category for Best Supporting Performance by a Male in a Television Movie.
