Darlene Rodriguez spent her early years in her hometown of New York City, where she was raised by her parents. She is American by nationality and belongs to mixed ethnic group. Darlene went to Christopher Columbus High School, and upon matriculation in 1988, she enrolled into the University of Miami, obtaining her degree in Political Science and Broadcast Journalism in 1992.
