Who is Cassandra Freeman?
American actress Cassandra Freeman was born in West Palm Beach, Florida USA, on 1 October 1978, making Libra her zodiac sign. She has 40 acting credits, but is perhaps still known best for playing Sylvia in the hit 2006 mystery crime movie “Inside Man”, which starred Clive Owen and Denzel Washington, and was directed by Spike Lee. It follows a heist which has turned into a hostage situation, and the film won five of its 17 award nominations.
Education and early life
Cassandra was raised alongside her younger sister Mia in West Palm Beach, by their father Mack Freeman and mother whose name hasn’t been disclosed; no other details have been shared about Cassandra’s family, as she respects their privacy.
She became interested in acting while still attending a local high school, appearing in a number of school plays; Cassandra was also into sports and music, and excelled in volleyball. She matriculated in 1997, and then enrolled at Florida State University, from which she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in 2001.
Cassandra honed her acting skills at New York University’s prestigious Tisch School of the Arts, graduating with a Master of Arts degree in 2003.

Cassandra’s debut film role was playing Nisa in the 2001 short romantic comedy “The Things We Do for Love”, and her following role came in 2007, when cast to play Jennifer in the romantic comedy “I Think I Love My Wife”, which Chris Rock wrote, directed and starred in; it follows a man who wants to cheat on his wife.
Cassandra appeared in two movies in 2011: the historical romantic drama “Kinyarwanda” and the comedy “First World Problem”, and the following year saw her play Simone in the drama “To Redemption”, which starred John Faughnan and James McCaffrey, and was written and directed by Alexia Oldini. It follows a dark secret which is threatening to tear a family apart, and the movie won four of its five award nominations. Also in 2012, Cassandra appeared in the comedy “Little Women, Big Cars”, its sequel “Little Women, Big Cars 2”, and the romantic drama “The Last 48”.
The year 2013 saw her play Angela in the biographical crime drama “Blue Caprice”, which starred Isaiah Washington and Tequan Richmond, and was written and directed by Alexandre Moors. It’s a true story of an abandoned boy who was involved in the 2002 Beltway sniper attacks, and the movie won two of its 15 award nominations. Cassandra could then have been seen appearing in the short family fantasy “Wish Wizard” and the mystery thriller “How We Got Away with It” both in 2014, and in the 2015 romantic comedy “Somewhere in the Middle”.
In 2017, she played Stephanie Marbury in the biographical sports drama “Another Shot”, which starred Stephon Marbury and Chun Wu, and was written and directed by Larry Yang. It follows Stephon’s journey from National Basketball Association (NBA) to playing in China, and the film won one of its three award nominations.
Some of Cassandra’s most recent film roles have been in the 2021 short drama “Thump”, the 2023 drama “Story Ave” and another 2023 drama “Our Son”.

Cassandra’s debut TV series appearance was playing Tech in the 2006 episode “Hot Shot” of the crime mystery “Numb3rs”, and the following years saw her appear in an episode of the crime mystery “Shark” and the crime drama “The Good Wife”.
From 2012 through 2014, she played Morgan in seven episodes of the romantic comedy “Single Ladies”, which starred Travis Winfrey and LisaRaye McCoy, and was created by Stacy A. Littlejohn. It follows the lives of three friends from Atlanta, Georgia and the series aired its 43 episodes from 2011 through 2015. Cassandra was then cast to appear in an episode of the drama “Conviction”, the musical comedy “Atlanta” and the crime mystery “Blue Bloods”.
In 2019, she portrayed Jacqueline Pettigrew in 13 episodes of the drama “The Enemy Within”, which starred Jennifer Carpenter and Morris Chestnut, and was created by Ken Woodruff; it follows FBI agent Will Keaton who’s trying to catch a spy with the help of the most notorious traitor in US history.

Cassandra’s more or less open when it comes to speaking about her love life in public, and it’s known that she’s today both a wife and mother.
She and American sound designer and record producer Tom Paul began dating in 2014, and exchanged vows in a private ceremony on 22 September 2018; Tom only gained recognition on the internet after he married Cassandra.
She gave birth to their son Hudson in 2018.
Prior to meeting Tom, Cassandra was in relationships with Canadian singer Michael Buble and American actor Tone Bell.
There are no other men whom Cassandra’s been with, that we know about; she’s married to Tom Paul as of July 2023, and they have a son together.
