Brittney was born on 25 December 1985 in the USA, and therefore holds American nationality. Brittney is popular for being a reporter and a TV host, who is currently working for the FOX 32 TV network.
Education and childhood
Brittney spent her entire childhood in the US. Her father, Walter Payton, was inducted into the National Football League (NFL) Hall of Fame, while her mother Connie Payton was a housewife – Brittney’s brother Jarrett Payton is into reporting as well, focused on sports events for the WGN 9 Network. Her father passed away in 1999, having suffered from sclerosing cholangitis, a rare liver disease affecting the gallbladder.
Brittney grew up being interested in reporting thanks to her father and her sister – the family would often watch news on TV, whether about politics or sports. She was popular at high school thanks to her father, who was an American Football star, and after she matriculated, Brittney enrolled at the DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois, and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in communications in 2008.
Showing support to their parents, both Brittney and her sister Jarrett have helped launch the Walter and Connie Payton Foundation, and are still part of it.

Brittney launched her career while still attending University, as she began her internship at FOX and then ABC TV networks.
After her internship finished, Brittney went on to work for the Big 10 Network where she served as their host and a reporter, holding the position for more than a year and a half before switching to WGN-TV station, where she worked as a host of the “Chicago’s Best” TV show.
In 2013, Brittney received a Chicago Emmy Award for her work on the show, credited with hosting over 250 episodes before she decided to move on after winning a job at the FOX 32 network, where she is still part of their team – she is best known for serving as an anchor of their “Good Day Chicago” show.
