Who is Brant Daugherty?

American actor Brant David Daugherty was born in Mason, Ohio USA, on 20 August 1985, making Leo his zodiac sign. He has 33 acting credits and is perhaps known best for playing Sawyer in the 2018 romantic thriller movie “Fifty Shades Freed”, which starred Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan, and was directed by James Foley. It follows Christian and Anastasia who’ve recently exchanged vows, while Jack Hyde’s threatening to destroy their marriage; the film won six of its 16 award nominations.

Education and early life

Brant was raised in Mason alongside his sister Caitey and brother Adam, by their mother Mary Beth (nee Hirt) who was the head of rehabilitation services at Shriners Hospitals for Children, and father David Daugherty who taught art at Mason Middle School; David died from cancer on 19 February 2009, aged 57.

Brant studied at William Mason High School and was mostly into sports during his time there, excelling in football; he was 15 when he appeared in his first school play, and then appeared in many by the time he matriculated in 2004.

Brant continued his education at Columbia College Chicago, from which he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in 2008; he then moved to Los Angeles, California in pursuit of acting roles.

Brant was then cast to play Noel Kahn in the 2012 episode “I’m a Free Man” of the mystery “Pretty Dirty Secrets”, and the following year saw him portray Brian in 10 episodes of the soap opera “Days of Our Lives”.

Also in 2013, he played Patrick Clarke in nine episodes of the popular romantic war drama “Army Wives”, which starred Wendy Davis and Brian McNamara, and was created by Katherine Fugate. It follows five people who have someone they love in the US Army, the series aired from 2007 through 2013 and won 12 of its 22 award nominations.

Brant played Tiffer in the 2014 episode “Charlie Pledges a Sorority Sister” of the romantic comedy “Anger Management”, and from 2010 through 2016, he played Noel Kahn in 27 episodes of the hit romantic mystery “Pretty Little Liars”, which starred Ashley Benson and Troian Bellisario, and was created by I. Marlene King. It follows a mysterious person who’s threatening to reveal the darkest secrets of four best friends, and the series won 45 of the 91 awards for which it was nominated.

Brant’s only three other TV series roles have been playing Thane Lockwood in two episodes of the comedy “Dear White People”, Jake in eight episodes of the action horror “Freakish” and Church in six episodes of the romantic comedy “Relationship Status”, all released in 2017.
