Scarlett was raised in Manhattan, New York City alongside her twin brother Hunter, older brother Adrian and older sister Vanessa, by their Ashkenazi-Jewish mother Melanie Sloan who was a producer, and their Dutch father Karsten Olaf Johansson; Scarlett also has an older half-brother Christian – her parents divorced when she was 13.
