Alicia Acuna is an American Fox news reporter who works in their Denver bureau. She was previously a weekend anchor for KGET-TV in Bakersfield. Early life
Alicia Acuna was born on 27 May, 1970, in Whittier, California USA, but spent most of her childhood in Arizona. Alicia claims that her parents think of themselves as Chicano, and that believes that she is the second or third-generation Mexican-American. Her parents divorced when she was thirteen years old, and her father moved to San Diego, California, while she stayed with her mother in Arizona, but spent her holidays with her father in southern California.
She went to Tucson Magnet School and finished in 1988 – during her high school days she became interested in journalism and she started studying it, and even volunteered as an assignment editor. In 1993 she graduated from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, with a degree in Journalism and Broadcasting. Even during her college days, she was involved with University TV.
When it comes to her body characteristics she has brown eyes and blonde hair. She has a slim figure as she is 5ft 5in (165cm) tall and she weighs 125lbs (56kgs).
Career
During her college education, she got an opportunity to start working on University TV, and this is where she started getting much needed experience.
After graduating, Alicia became a reporter for KSEE-TV which is based in Fresno, California. Afterward, she became a news anchor for KGET-TV in Bakersfield. In 1997 she was a runner-up for the reporter of the year award by APTRA, and the same year, she joined Fox News Channel (FNC), and this is when her true breakthrough began. She became a crucial member of Fox News Channel’s political coverage team.
She covered the Denver Democratic Convention in 2008 and a Presidential Debate at the University of Denver, Colorado in 2012. After this, she became the general assignment reporter based in Denver for Fox News, which is her current position.
She reported live in news coverage of the Ebola Virus outbreak from Dallas, Texas, and covered the live reporting of the devastating EF5 tornado in 2013 from Moore, Oklahoma.
Marriage and Family Life
Alicia has been married to Brian Daniel Boyd for almost 20 years. Her husband contracted cancer in 2009 which he defeated – every year since he was cured Alicia has been posting on social media about her husband being cancer-free. She also likes to declare that she is thankful to have God, her family, and friends in her life.
Alicia and Brian have two children together. In April 2004, Alicia gave birth to their daughter and they named her Sofia, and in 2006 a son they named Mario was born. Alicia often posts content regarding her daughter and son, and every year she makes sure to wish both of them a happy birthday publicly. She also likes to share everyday content from her life, for example when she went on a road trip with her family to Colorado at Julesburg in 2017.
Lately, she has made her Instagram account private, but she is actively using Twitter to communicate with her fans and she has over 10,000 followers on it. Judging by social media accounts, it seems like this family leads a very happy and harmonious life.
At the moment, Alicia lives with her family in Pueblo, Colorado, where they have been residing since 2012.
