Who is Heida Reed?
A former model and actress with nearly 20 acting credits to her name, Heida Reed caught the eye of the audience portraying Elizabeth in the series “Poldark”. Heida made her acting debut playing Ingrid in the 2011 movie “One Day”. In the following year, Heida was cast to play Celeste in the action horror “True Bloodthirst”, which was her first lead role, starring opposite Andrew Lee Potts and Claudia Bassols. Heida made her first TV series appearance as Carmen in two episodes of “DCI Banks” in 2012. In the following year, she was cast to play Adele in the TV mini-series “Jo”, starring Jean Reno, a mystery crime-drama which followed the story of a veteran detective, Jo Saint-Clair, who solves the most challenging cases.
Heida followed with her roles in “Silent Witness” and “The Cliff” in 2014 before she was cast to play her breakthrough role as Elizabeth Warleggan in the series “Poldark”. From 2015 through 2019, she was seen in 38 episodes of this romantic drama, starring Aidan Turner, which followed the story of Ross Poldark who returned home after the American Revolutionary War and now tries to rebuild his life. The show had 33 award nominations and six wins, including the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) Award for Best Original Music.
Concurrently, she played the title role in “Stella Blómkvist”, between 2017 and 2021, and was seen as Professor Peabody in the series “Dan Dare”, from 2018 through 2020. Next, Heida was cast to play Special Agent Jamie Kellet in the crime drama “FBI: International”, appearing in 43 episodes between 2021 and 2023, , starring opposite Luke Kleintank and Carter Redwood.
